BUSINESS SUPPORT & FINANCE
Refugees are Australia's most entrepreneurial migrants, nearly twice as likely to start businesses as the broader Australian population.
THINKING OF STARTING YOUR OWN BUSINESS?
Thrive Refugee Enterprise has already assisted more than 3,000 refugees who have reached out to discuss the opportunities in starting a business. We provide business education and planning support, and in some instances financial support through a loan of up to $50,000.00 for refugee men and women.

HERE IS HOW WE CAN SUPPORT YOU
We will sit down with you and talk through your business idea. We’ll help you answer questions like:
What kind of business do you want to start?
Will you be starting this business on your own or with others?
Who are your customers?
Marketing plan on how to reach new customers?
How much money will you need to get started?
How much do you anticipate earning in the first 12 months?
What are the costs associated with earning that income?
We can provide information to help you decide on the right business structure (like sole trader, partnership or company) and support you with all the basics such as applying for an ABN (Australian Business Number), registering a business name, and understanding what licences or permits you might need.

Finance
If you need money to help start or grow your business, we can help you apply for a Thrive Refugee Enterprise loan.
Our business loans range from a few hundred dollars up to $50,000.00, depending on actual needs and the business’ ability to repay the loan from business income generated.
In most cases, you’ll need to contribute some equity funding to the proposed business activity as an investment in the future success of your business operation. This could either be from savings accumulated, or financial support from family members or community.
